Meet Tyler Sanford
Marine Corps Veteran, Software Engineer & Lead Trader
My name is Tyler Sanford, and I've been actively trading since 2014. Like many traders, my journey didn't start smoothly. I joined numerous communities and paid for countless "gurus," ultimately losing over $30,000 before finding my footing. As a family man first, my motivation has always been clear: provide for my family and give them opportunities I didn't have growing up.
Engineering Excellence
I taught myself to program at 14 and have been writing software ever since. For the past 12 years, I've worked professionally as a software engineer across the transportation, airline, and commercial banking industries. Currently, I lead a technology team of 30 engineers building software that handles hundreds of millions of dollars in lending power on a regular basis.
This background in building mission-critical, high-stakes software systems directly translates to how I approach trading infrastructure. Every system I build is designed for reliability, precision, and scale.
The Path to Profitability
In 2019, I decided to leverage my software engineering skills to find a strategy that would make me consistently profitable. After three years of dedicated research, thousands of hours of learning, and countless iterations of trial and error, I created my Dual Trend strategy in 2023.
This strategy not only allowed me to recover every dollar I had lost, but transformed my trading entirely. Since developing this approach, I've achieved five-figure weeks and six-figure months. Since 2023, I've been dedicated to helping other traders become profitable by sharing the lessons I learned the hard way.
What Sets My System Apart
My approach is fundamentally data-driven. Unlike others who analyze only the underlying charts, I perform my analysis directly on the options charts themselves. I save historical price data for every trade I've ever taken and alerted through my system.
For each trade, I capture screenshots along with open, high, low, close, volume, drawdown, and total profit data. This information is used to automatically improve our strategies and tools over time. The longer our system runs and collects data, the more precise and accurate it becomes.
Building the Automation
Writing and architecting software isn't just my profession—it's my passion. In 2024, I decided to take my already profitable Dual Trend strategy and fully automate it. I built custom software that trades options on my behalf, eliminating the emotions and greed that plagued my earlier trading years.
By May 2025, I had a fully automated options trading system managing real money and growing my personal account autonomously. As of April 2026, we have grown to over 159 subscribers who are all benefiting from this software. I continue to build and improve the system for my community every day.
