Alternatives to ZuluTrade

By Stax Team

ZuluTrade alternatives depend on what you want from it. For a larger multi-asset audience and a simpler interface, eToro. For risk-normalised strategy comparison, Darwinex. For curated rather than open provider lists, DupliTrade. For visible subscription pricing instead of spread markup, Myfxbook AutoTrade. For tracked records across stocks, options, futures and forex, Collective2. ZuluTrade remains strongest if broker flexibility is the requirement.

ZuluTrade's distinguishing feature is that it is a network rather than a broker, so most alternatives ask you to give that up in exchange for something else.

When ZuluTrade is still the right answer

If you have a broker you want to keep, ZuluTrade connects to a wide range of them and preserves your existing execution relationship and pricing. Platforms that are also brokers cannot do that by definition.

Its analytics are also better than consumer-first platforms encourage — sorting by consistency and drawdown recovery rather than headline return, and automated features that can disconnect a provider whose behaviour deviates from expectation.

If broker flexibility or those risk controls are why you are there, most of this list is a downgrade on that specific axis.

If you want scale and simplicity

eToro is the largest platform in the category, with a proprietary interface built for copying, an enormous provider pool, multi-asset coverage spanning stocks, ETFs, crypto and commodities rather than forex alone, and registrations under multiple regulatory frameworks.

The trade is execution and cost. Spreads run wider than execution-focused brokers, advanced order types are constrained, and the platform's cut is embedded in the spread rather than displayed. Its own regulatory disclosure states a majority of its retail CFD accounts lose money — worth reading before treating scale as evidence of anything.

If the leaderboard rewards risk

The most sophisticated reason to leave, and the one with a structurally different answer.

Darwinex converts strategies into standardised investable instruments with risk normalisation applied, under FCA regulation, so returns are comparable on something closer to like-for-like rather than letting whoever ran the most leverage top the list. Its published fee structure is a twenty percent performance fee split fifteen percent to the trader and five percent to the platform.

The trades are real: Darwinex is itself the broker, so you lose the flexibility that brought you to ZuluTrade, and normalisation changes the strategy if a provider's sizing was part of their edge.

If the open field is the problem

DupliTrade lists only pre-screened providers meeting performance criteria, producing a short vetted set rather than a large open pool, typically at a higher minimum.

The caveat is that curation moves the survivorship problem rather than solving it. Criteria based on past returns select for whatever recently worked, and the platform's judgment replaces yours.

If you cannot calculate what you are paying

Myfxbook AutoTrade charges a visible subscription alongside normal broker spreads rather than embedding its cut in markup, which makes total cost calculable.

Transparency ranks roughly: one-time costs clearest, subscriptions visible and easy to total, performance fees transparent in headline terms while compounding against returns, and spread markup least visible of all.

If you want beyond forex

Collective2 tracks strategies across stocks, options, futures and forex with the most developed track-record infrastructure in the category, and states plainly that displayed results are hypothetical. Money stays in your own brokerage account.

cTrader Copy suits traders already in that ecosystem who prioritise execution transparency.

If you trade US options

Worth naming because it eliminates most of this page. Options copying is largely absent from the mainstream copy trading category — it grew out of forex and expanded into crypto and equities, and options bring expiry, exact strike resolution, per-account approval constraints, and spreads that widen through the session.

What exists instead is a small set of purpose-built tools rather than a ranked field, including self-hosted software where the client runs in your own cloud and connects to your own brokerage under trade-scoped credentials. That is a different arrangement from a consumer copy platform in both custody of credentials and setup complexity, and it is not a like-for-like replacement for a provider network.

The problem every option here shares

Leaderboards rank providers still operating; those who failed are not listed, so the visible distribution is systematically better than reality.

And followers structurally underperform the providers they copy. Delayed entry, execution differences, sizing mismatches, and transaction costs each subtract independently, before any behavioural effect. That follows you to every platform on this page.

How to choose

Name the specific friction — broker lock-in, leaderboard quality, fee opacity, asset coverage — because each leads somewhere different.

Then check availability in your jurisdiction before anything else. CFDs are not available to US retail, and several international platforms restrict US clients entirely or offer a materially reduced product.

And whatever you choose, apply your own sizing rather than inheriting the provider's — capital divided by twenty as the ceiling on any single position, under the divide-by-20 rule, computed against your account and enforced on infrastructure you control rather than configured in a vendor dashboard.

The honest limits

Switching platforms does not improve provider quality. The evaluation problem is the hard part and it moves with you.

Each alternative gives up something ZuluTrade offers, usually broker flexibility.

And no platform changes the structural gap between a provider's record and a follower's result. Understanding that gap matters more than which network you join, and keeping the execution path short is one of the few parts of it you can influence.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best ZuluTrade alternative? eToro for scale and simplicity, Darwinex for risk-normalised comparison, DupliTrade for curation, Myfxbook AutoTrade for fee transparency, Collective2 for multi-asset tracked records.

Which alternatives let me keep my broker? Few. ZuluTrade's broker-agnostic model is unusual; most alternatives are also brokers.

Are these available to US clients? Availability varies and CFDs are unavailable to US retail, which removes the core product on several. Verify first.

Can I copy options strategies on any of them? Options copying is largely absent from this category. Purpose-built tools exist outside the mainstream platforms.

Will switching improve my results? Not by itself. Followers structurally underperform providers for reasons that apply on every platform.
