If you sell a strategy or an app in the Marketplace, the Earnings page shows exactly what you've earned, month by month, from the people who subscribe to it. It's built from what your subscribers actually paid — not an estimate based on your current price.

You'll find it under Account → Earnings in the sidebar. It appears once your listing has been set up for payouts.

How your share is worked out

Every time a subscriber's payment goes through, PayPal takes a small processing fee first. Your share comes out of what's left.

Example

a subscriber pays $50.00 for your strategy. PayPal keeps $2.24 as its fee, which leaves $47.76. At a 60% share, you earn $28.66 from that payment.

Most listings are paid on a 60/40 split — 60% to you, 40% to StaxInvesting. If you've agreed a different split with us, the page shows your actual percentage on every line.

Because each payment is counted at the amount that person was actually charged, your statement stays right even if prices change over time.

Free months are on us

StaxInvesting sometimes gives members a free first month on a strategy. You still get credited for that month at your listing price — StaxInvesting covers it, not you.

Example

a member takes a free first month on your $50 strategy. Nobody was charged, but you're credited $30.00 (60% of $50). There's no PayPal fee on a free month, because no payment was made.

A free month still counts if the member cancels before it ends.

Refunds

If a payment is refunded, it shows up as a negative line in the month the refund happened, and your share of it comes off that month's total. If PayPal keeps its processing fee on a refund, that cost is shared at your usual split.

Example

a $50 payment you earned $28.66 from is refunded in full, and PayPal keeps its fee. That month shows -$30.00 for the refund — your 60% of the $50 that went back to the member.

Reading the page

• The tiles at the top show what you've earned this month, last month, and in total since your listing started, plus how many payments came in this month.
• The chart shows your earnings for each month. If you have more than one listing, each one is stacked in its own color.
• The monthly statement lists every month since your listing started: payments, free months, what was charged, PayPal's fees, and Your share. Click any month to open it and see every line that makes up the total.
• Download CSV saves the whole statement, or a single month's lines, as a spreadsheet.

Note

For privacy, your subscribers are shown as "Subscriber #1", "Subscriber #2" and so on. The same person keeps the same number every month, so you can still see who renews.

Who isn't counted

Accounts run by the StaxInvesting team, and your own accounts, never count toward your earnings — even if they appear on your listing. That's also why they're left out of the subscriber count shown in the Marketplace.

Getting paid

Payouts are sent to you manually by StaxInvesting. The Earnings page is your statement: use it to check each payout against the months it covers.
