Some strategies tell you when they are done with a trade, and some do not.
When a strategy sends an exit, your Alerts page shows the result the moment it arrives — a green WIN or a red LOSS pill, decided by the person who published the alert.
The in-house sources work differently. 0DTE Options, Swing Trades and Smart send you the entry and then track the price, but they never send an exit — you decide when to get out. So those alerts would sit on your page reading "open" forever, even the ones that doubled.
Scoring fixes that. You tell the page what a win looks like to you, and it marks the alerts that got there.
Turning it on
On the Alerts page, tick Score my alerts, then set your two numbers:
- Win at — how far up an alert has to go before you would call it a winner.
- Loss at — how far down before you would call it a loser.
Say you set Win at 25% and Loss at 25%. An alert that went from $1.00 up to $1.30 is marked HIT TARGET, because it gained 30%. One that dropped to $0.70 is marked HIT LIMIT.
Tip
Pick the numbers you actually trade. If you normally take profit around 30% and cut a loser at 20%, put in 30 and 20 — then the page is scoring your alerts the way you trade them, not the way anyone else does.
Whichever happened first
Plenty of trades touch both numbers. An alert might drop 25% in the first ten minutes and then rally to +60% by lunchtime.
The page scores whichever one it reached first. In that example you would have been stopped out before the rally ever happened, so it is marked HIT LIMIT — a loss — even though it finished much higher.
This is worked out from the price history recorded for every alert, not guessed from the high and the low. On the rare alert where the record cannot settle the order, the pill is shown with a dashed outline, and hovering it explains why.
Change your mind whenever you like
Adjust either number and the whole day re-scores instantly. Nothing is recalculated from scratch and nothing is lost — the page already has each alert's history, so widening your win target from 25% to 50% simply re-asks the question of every alert on screen.
That is also why changing your numbers never sets off a flurry of sounds. You only hear an alert being scored as it happens, never when you are adjusting the settings or filtering the list.
An outlined pill means it is your score, not theirs
The two kinds of result look different on purpose:
- A solid pill is the strategy's own result. The publisher closed the trade and told you how it went.
- An outlined pill is your score, from your numbers.
Your scores are yours alone. They are worked out on your screen as you look at the page, they are never added to anyone's track record, and another subscriber with different numbers will correctly see different pills on the very same alerts. Nothing you set here changes a strategy's published win rate.
Note
Futures alerts are not scored this way. A big move in a futures contract is a tiny percentage of its price, so a percentage target that makes sense for an option would never trigger. Futures alerts still show a result when the strategy sends one.
Hearing your scores
Scoring decides what counts as a win or a loss. Whether you hear about it is set separately, under Sound Alerts in Dashboard Settings — turn on the win sound, the loss sound, or neither.
The two settings are independent on purpose. You can score your alerts silently and just read the pills, or have a chime the moment one hits your target.
You will only ever hear an alert that is actually on your page. If you have hidden a source with Muting a Signal Source, it stays silent.
